Ask for Advice, Decide for Yourself

What does it mean?

Asking for advice shows that we do not have to know everything on our own. Good advice can reveal facts, risks or possibilities that we have missed. The responsibility still remains with us: we examine the advice and choose for ourselves.

When building wealth, a second perspective can protect us from costly mistakes. Someone we trust may point out costs or risks. If we then check the numbers and consequences ourselves, we make a more thoughtful decision and take responsibility even when the result is not perfect.
